A reminder... Your newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogs, office and school papers, and discarded mail can be recycled all year long, 24 hours/ 7 days a week. St. Anthony Church and School earn money for all materials retrieved in the green and yellow bins in the North parking lot. DO NOT DEPOSIT CARDBOARD, PHONE BOOKS, MILK CARTONS, PLASTIC BAGS, METAL OR TRASH. These bins are emptied weekly by Abitibi Consolidated. Thank you for all your continued support of this important fundraising and recycling effort. Click here for more information.
Aluminum can recycling: Yes we CAN! We are now in the business of recycling ALUMINUM CANS. You CAN help!. You CAN find the new container for collecting only ALUMINUM CANS right nest to the 2 newspaper containers in the back parking lot of the school. These CANS earn money for St. Anthony School- money to be used towards field trips. The keyword is CAN. So bring in your CANS, along with your newspapers to the parking lot for recycling.
For Junior High Parents: There is a great resource available for you in the battle to protect your children against threats on the Internet. The Westerville Police Department (ICETEAM: Internet Crimes Enforcement Team) has a site that contains a ton of resources, including dates for their upcoming Internet Safety Seminars. Be sure to check it out! Click here for a brochure from the Westerville Police with quick tips about keeping your kids safe on the Internet. Also, as mentioned during Curriculum Night, we are working to get copies of the Computer Cop Software the Department developed to help monitor your children's activities on the computer. We now have 10 copies of the Computer Cop software available in the school office for anyone who would like a copy. The software is normally $35 a copy but the Westerville Police Department gave us 20 for free. Contact the school office if you would like a copy. They will be given on a first come, first served basis.
Visit Westerville Police Department (ICETEAM: Internet Crimes Enforcement Team) to learn about upcoming presentations given by the Westerville Police Dept to help educate parents about keeping their children safe on the Internet.
