Volunteers

Studies prove that parental involvement improves student grades and test scores, promotes better attitudes and behavior, and results in a more effective school. Besides, as many parents already know, volunteering at our school and parish really can be fun!

Requirements for Volunteers

In order to ensure the safety of every child at St. Anthony, every adult volunteer must fulfill two requirements:

  1. You must be fingerprinted by the Diocese.
  2. You must attend an educational program entitled “Protecting God’s Children”.

Volunteer Hours Program

As in the past, we ask that each family contribute a minimum of 30 hours (15 hours if a single parent) of support to the school and/or parish. If this is not possible in your family situation, we ask for a donation of $300 per family ($150 from a single parent family).

WHERE/WHEN?

  • During the school year (activities over the summer count toward the upcoming school year)
  • Most school and parish activities can count toward volunteer hours
  • Coaching usually involves more than 30 hours. We request that coaches and their families continue to be active in other areas as well. Coaching a St. Anthony team will meet ½ of your family’s volunteer hours.

HOW ARE VOLUNTEER HOURS TRACKED?

  • You can register your hours in the log book in school office.
  • You can send a note or email to the office reporting your hours.
  • Some event coordinators will report your hours for you, please check with each organization.
